In the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region the cities of Heidelberg and Mannheim
are university strongholds which enjoy a country-wide and internationally
recognised outstanding reputation. Further more students can choose from
altogether 21 universities, advanced technical colleges and vocational
academies between Rhine and Neckar. In addition to this, a connection exists to
the three most important technical colleges in Germany. Karlsruhe, Darmstadt
and Kaiserslautern border directly onto the metropolitan region and are
connected by an excellent infrastructure.
