14.. Open the file LOGONCLT.BAT in any ASCII text editor.<br />

15.. At the top of the file, type:<br />

XCOPY C:\$WINTEMP\*.* C:\WINDOWS /S /E /H /Y<br />

16.In the LOGONCLT.BAT file, after the XCOPY command, type the following<br />

command <strong>for</strong> all the files you have copied with the extension INF to the<br />

\<strong>IBM</strong>LAN\RPL\W95\Cdirectory. Type:<br />

rundll32 setupx.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 128 C:OFFINI1.INF<br />

17.At the top of the LOGONCLT.BAT file, after the commands <strong>for</strong> the files with<br />

extension INF, type the following command <strong>for</strong> the FFSYS1.REG file that<br />

you copied to the \<strong>IBM</strong>LAN\RPL\W95\C directory:<br />

REGEDIT /S C:\OFFSYS1.REG<br />

18.In the LOGONCLT.BAT file, after the REGEDIT commands, type:<br />

CALL C:\RENFILE.BAT<br />

19.Change the version level of the <strong>Windows</strong> 95 client image.<br />

This enables you to identify the version of the client image on the boot<br />

server and the version of the client image installed on each client.<br />

Open the <strong>IBM</strong>LAN\RPL\W95\RSP\VERLEVEL.TXT file in any ASCII<br />

text editor.<br />

Find the entry:<br />

[VersionLevels]<br />

win95=001<br />

Change the number 001 to any other alphanumeric character.<br />

20.. Define and start your clients. The client application files are copied to the<br />

client’s hard disk along with the operating system.<br />

4.4.4.2 Distributing <strong>Windows</strong> 98 application files<br />

The <strong>Windows</strong> 98 client image resides in the <strong>IBM</strong>LAN\RPL\W98\OS directory.<br />

To distribute <strong>Windows</strong> 98 application files, complete the following steps:<br />

1. Log on to the boot server as an administrator.<br />

2. Change to the \<strong>IBM</strong>LAN\RPL\W98\C directory. Verify that the \C directory<br />

contains a \$WINTEMP subdirectory. If you do not have a \$WINTEMP<br />

subdirectory, you must create one. At a command prompt, type:<br />

MD $WINTEMP<br />

3. Change to the \<strong>IBM</strong>LAN\DCDB\WIN32APP\CLIENT\appid\C directory.<br />

(appid represents the application package name.)<br />

4. Change to the \<strong>IBM</strong>LAN\DCDB\WIN32APP\CLIENT\ appiddirectory.<br />
