Organization Profile
International Non Government Organization (NGO) specialized in pharmaceutical sector. PSFCI activities are divided between emergency
and development missions. Currently, PSFCI is active in 8 countries around the world.
PSFCI's main objective is to promote quality health services to vulnerable populations with sustainable access to medicines and appropriate
capacity development of medical staff regarding rational procurement, stock management, distribution and medicines prescription in selected
primary (PHC) and secondary (SHC) health cares.
Past and Current Programmes
PSFCI has been working in the Republic of Tajikistan since 1995. Over the past 13 years, PSFCi activities range from health relief
programmes to development projects, in order to provide technical assistance and support to the Ministry of Health.
PSFCI is currently running 2 projects:
- Technical assistance to the Ministry of Health in the establishment and management of the Republican Medicine Procurement and
Distribution Centre (RMPC)
- Support the principal Recipient in the implementation of the procurement plan for the National Program to fight Tuberculosis (GFATM).
In the past, PSFCI implemented several emergency programs to improve access to primary and secondary health cares for population.
Future Programming Direction
For the future, PSFCI strategy is focused on its main project current project; providing technical assistant to the Republican Medicines
Procurement Centre (RMPC) in order to establish a sustainable and transparent RMPC.
