Positioning retail 2008 Retail: 6 shopping centres opened totalling 58,600 m² GLA and €19.6 million in gross rental income. Several projects in 2008 illustrate the new proximities created by Altarea: Les Boutiques Gare de l’Est in Paris, which helps commuters save time on their daily shopping, L’Aubette in Strasbourg, which not only improves shopping facilities in the town centre but also enhances the city’s historical heritage, and the Okabe project, which has created a mixed urban development in the centre of Le Kremlin-Bicêtre.
