CRRI lifts championship trophy in sports meet<br />
CRRI, Cuttack lifted the overall <strong>Institute</strong> Championship<br />
Trophy during the ICAR Zonal Sports Tournament<br />
for Eastern Zone held at Indian Veterinary <strong>Research</strong><br />
<strong>Institute</strong>, Izatnagar, from 7 to 11 April, 2011.<br />
CRRI got the first position in kabaddi, table tennis<br />
doubles (women) and 4 x 100 m relay race. It got the<br />
second position in volleyball shooting. Shri P.K. Parida,<br />
was judged as the best athlete (men) of the Zone.<br />
The CRRI sports contingent was also adjudged the<br />
Champion in the ICAR Zonal tournament held at Patna<br />
from 19 to 22 March, 20<strong>12</strong> by scoring 105 points in the<br />
tournament, a record for the eastern zone among 22<br />
ICAR institutes from the eastern zone. Shri P.K. Parida<br />
and Kum. Sabita Sahoo of CRRI were declared as the<br />
Best Athlete (men) and Best Athlete (women), respectively.<br />
CRRI-Champions in ICAR Inter-Zonal sports<br />
championship<br />
For the third time, the CRRI lifted the ICAR Inter-<br />
Zonal Sports Championship held at CRIJAF,<br />
Barrackpore from 16 to 19 January, 20<strong>12</strong> among 42<br />
ICAR institutes in India. Shri P.K. Parida, CRRI was<br />
adjudged as the Best Athlete.<br />

CRRI participates in Kabaddi Championships<br />
The CRRI kabaddi team participated in the 59 th Senior<br />
State Kabaddi Championship for Men held at<br />
Sambalpur, Odisha from 9 to 11 December, 2011. Shri<br />
P.K. Parida was selected from the CRRI to represent the<br />
Odisha Kabaddi team in the 59th National Senior<br />
Kabaddi championship held from 14 to 16 December,<br />
2011 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.<br />
