80/07 DUAL CARRIAGEWAY – CAM RIVER, SOMERSET<br />
Cr Moore had given notice of his intention to move the following motion:<br />
And advised:<br />
That <strong>Council</strong> request the Cradle Coast Authority consider initiating<br />
discussions with the appropriate authorities for the provision of a dual<br />
carriageway of the Bass Highway over the Cam River at Somerset.<br />
<strong>Council</strong> has been advised informally that the Cradle Coast Authority would be<br />
likely to give consideration to pursuing this matter with the relevant authorities<br />
if a request to do so was provided by the <strong>Waratah</strong>-<strong>Wynyard</strong> <strong>Council</strong>.<br />
A copy of a recent article in the Advocate Newspaper is provided for the<br />
information of <strong>Council</strong>lors.<br />
OFFICERS COMMENTS<br />
The bridge over the Cam River is on a State Highway and as such is outside of<br />
the direct control of local government.<br />
