1. Recommendation
That Council:
(a)
resolve to appoint a Special Committee to be known as the
Community Centre/Railway Institute Hall Management
Committee in accordance with the provisions of the Local
Government Act 1993, comprising the following membership:
• One Councillor of Waratah-Wynyard Council
• One representative from St. John Ambulance
• One representative from Wynyard Children’s Services
• One Community Representative
• One representative from a major user group of either the
Community Centre or the Railway Institute Hall.
• The Community Development Officer (or a person acting in
that position)
(b)
formally adopt the Schedule of Delegation of Authority and
Operating Procedures for the Community Centre/Railway
Institute Hall Management Committee outlined in this report.
2. Summary
This report covers the administrative arrangements needed to give effect to the
Council’s decision at the last ordinary meeting to combine the interests of the
Wynyard Community Centre Special Committee and the Railway Institute
Hall Steering Committee into a Special Committee to be known as the
Community Centre/Railway Institute Hall Management Committee.
