1. Recommendation
That Council note the information and authorises the affixing of the
Common Seal to all associated sale contracts.
2. Summary
This report has been prepared to advise Council of the outcome of the auction
held on 31 March 2007 to sell properties at Waratah due to the accumulation
of unpaid rates.
3. Background
At the Council meeting on 19 March 2007 Council endorsed the sale of lots at
Waratah for unpaid rates. There were seventeen (17) lots to be sold by public
auction and seven (7) were approved for the General Manager to negotiate by
private treaty.
Since that time three of the private treaty sales have been agreed to, the others
are still under negotiation.
