Chubb’s Global Field Operations
Located in 120 offices in 29 countries, members of Chubb’s field staff
serve as the face of Chubb to our customers worldwide. Chubb
underwriters, loss control specialists, claim adjusters, managers and
service representatives work closely with our agents and brokers to
deliver a distinctive blend of global capabilities and local service. “In
essence, the field is where the relationship lives and the business gets
done,” says Janice Tomlinson, who manages Chubb’s field operations
outside the United States.
A robust branch network ensures that when customers buy a Chubb
policy anywhere in the world, they are buying certainty and consistency.
“There’s a difference between opening a few branches in other countries
and being a truly global provider,” explains Tomlinson. “Because our
offices in all locations are staffed with Chubb-trained professionals, our
customers and producers everywhere can expect the same level of service
and expertise — and the same values — that have distinguished our
company for more than a century.”
After factoring in the broad goals and strategies developed by the
home office commercial, specialty and personal insurance business units,
the field develops local profit and growth strategies based on their
assessment of a territory’s potential. “Each branch represents a significant
investment on the part of the company,” says Harold Morrison, who
manages Chubb’s United States field operations. “The field’s challenge is
to work with our local agents and brokers to maximize Chubb’s return in
each territory while providing innovative products, services and
solutions that meet the needs of local clients.”
Chief Operating Officer Tom Motamed agrees that mutually
rewarding relationships with Chubb’s distribution partners are critical to
our continued success. “We depend on our agents and brokers to bring us
quality customers who appreciate what Chubb has to offer,” explains
Motamed. “To sustain that flow of good business, we need to clearly
demonstrate that we value our producers’ contributions to our results and
are worthy of our customers’ trust.” Our outstanding performance in
2005 is due in large part to the skill with which our field staff executes
that charge day by day, customer by customer. Featured on the following
pages is a global cross section of those customers, along with the officers
who lead our nine territories worldwide.
