ESF Project Development of human resources for research in the field of automation (Miroslav Fikar) The main aim of the project is to improve quality of employment of Bratislava region using development of human resources in research. Project should enforce regional research in automation, to create and develop learning society and network connected to national and international communities, to transfer the newest knowledge from academia to industry, and to increase awareness of enterprises about the research potential in the region. Project duration: from 1.10.2004 to 31.12.2006 ESF Project No 13120200115: PhD students for modern industrial automation in Slovak Republic (M. Fikar) The main aim of the project is to improve quality of employment and competitivness od Bratislava region via development of education and support of PhD students and young researchers. The project is focused on industrial automation, current and prospective industrial parks and institutions not only in the target region but in the whole Slovakia as well. Education is targeted to motivation of PhD students in modern automation in automotive, process, biotechnological, and energetical industries. The main aspect is to make possible to study at the most advanced institutions in Europe icluding not only universities but industries as well. Fikar) Project aims: • To improve quality of university teachers in Slovakia via two mirror projects. • To provide ECDL certificate of university teachers in presence and distance learning using new elearning technologies so that they will be able to modernise teaching process. • Later, to provide such possibility to a wider community to improve qualification structure in Slovakia. • To increase skills of university teachers in e-learning with focus on LMS systems and pedagogical aspects of modern education. • To create a permanent consultancy services and help desks in ICT.
