For many years, Colchester has had a
historical society that has been very
active in preservation activities. The
Society has been a pioneer in historic
preservation efforts, both locally and
state-wide.

of Colchester enacted an ordinance
establishing the Colchester Historic
District and the Historic District
Commission. The purpose of the
ordinance was to “promote the ...
