Ken Stapleton<br />
Ken Stapleton & Associates<br />
President<br />
With over 27 years of urban revitalization and economic development experience,<br />
Ken provides program strategy and project management services related to<br />
university-community partnerships, <strong>in</strong>novative urban safety programs, and urban<br />
redevelopment to a variety of public and private clients <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Mercer University,<br />
the Ohio Board of Regents, and Florida International University.<br />

Previously, Ken served as Senior Economic Development Advisor and Executive<br />
Director of the award-w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g University Park Alliance for The University<br />
of Akron; Senior Vice President of Plann<strong>in</strong>g, Safety and Design for the Downtown<br />
Cleveland Partnership; and as a redevelopment expert <strong>in</strong> several South Florida communities. Ken holds<br />
a master’s degree <strong>in</strong> Urban and Regional Plann<strong>in</strong>g from the University of Ill<strong>in</strong>ois. He is a <strong>Knight</strong> Community<br />
Build<strong>in</strong>g Fellow and part of the class that led the Duluth Charrette <strong>in</strong> 2005.<br />

Hall Plann<strong>in</strong>g & Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, Inc.<br />
President<br />
Rick Hall is a practic<strong>in</strong>g, registered transportation eng<strong>in</strong>eer and for 14 years,<br />
President of Hall Plann<strong>in</strong>g & Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, Inc. He is registered <strong>in</strong> 13 states and<br />
is committed to understand<strong>in</strong>g the established neighborhood vision and context<br />
before transportation design is undertaken. S<strong>in</strong>ce becom<strong>in</strong>g a consultant <strong>in</strong> 1980,<br />
Mr. Hall has worked on a variety of projects <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g Urban Transportation<br />
Plans, Developments of Regional Impact, hurricane evacuation plann<strong>in</strong>g, level of service analysis, scenic<br />
highway plann<strong>in</strong>g and Transportation / Land Use <strong>in</strong>terrelationships. Mr. Hall assisted <strong>in</strong> the plann<strong>in</strong>g of<br />
Seaside and has participated <strong>in</strong> over 75 TND charrettes with Dover Kohl & Partners, DPZ and other lead<strong>in</strong>g<br />
firms perform<strong>in</strong>g New Urbanism designs. He is a <strong>Knight</strong> Community Build<strong>in</strong>g Fellow and a member of the<br />
Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) and was part of a team that authored a jo<strong>in</strong>t ITE-CNU Street Design<br />
Manual. He has served as a visit<strong>in</strong>g professor at Florida State University’s Department of Urban and Regional<br />
Plann<strong>in</strong>g has also served as President of the Florida Section, Institute of Transportation Eng<strong>in</strong>eers.<br />
