Who is the SOC target audience
What are the main elements of the SOC Report
The State of the Coasts report is intended for:
a. Chief Executives of local governments;
b. ICM managers;
c. ICM practitioners; and
d. Coastal communities and other
stakeholders.
The SOC report contains the following:
a. An Executive Summary featuring a fact sheet
of the area, and a summary of key findings,
implications and recommendations;
b. A description of the relevance of various
indicators of governance and sustainable
development aspects of ICM programs based
on a common framework for sustainable coastal
development;
c. The results and analysis of each indicator,
including the implications of changing conditions
and recommendations for mitigating measures,
as agreed to by concerned stakeholders; and
d. A description of the SOC methodology and
process, the framework for sustainable coastal
development, and the accomplished SOC
reporting templates.
