As would be expected the prices showed significant variation when converted to US Page 30

Figure 3.4 shows the relationship between fares and GDP per capita and highlights fares in Vietnam are much higher than the other locations when considered in terms of GDP per capita. Fares have also been investigated in terms of the perceived quality of the service in a number of locations and the results are shown on Figure 3.5. Quality is not the only influence on price and other factors are significant in influencing taxi fares. The chart indicates the quality in the GKL/KV region could increase slightly particularly if higher fares were to be justified.
