Das exklusive Gala-Bankett steht unter dem Ehrenschutz
von Bundespräsident Dr. Heinz Fischer und
genießt Unterstützung auf höchster politischer Ebene.
Namhafte Vertreter der wichtigsten Partnerorganisationen
von aids life, BotschafterInnen des Guten
Willens sowie Opinionleader aus Politik, Wirtschaft,
Kunst und Kultur versammeln sich Jahr für Jahr im
Zeichen des Red Ribbon. Die aids Solidarity Gala bietet
den Gästen die Möglichkeit zum Austausch auf internationalem
Niveau und zur Thematisierung der erzielten
Fortschritte und verbleibenden Herausforderungen im
Kampf gegen hiv und aids in einem gleichermaßen
inspirierenden wie karitativen Rahmen. Das Programm
beginnt mit einem Cham pagner-Empfang, gefolgt von
einem exklusiven Gala-Dinner mit Live-Entertainment
und anspruchsvollen musikalischen Darbietungen.
Den Höhepunkt des Abends bildet eine Versteigerung
ausgewählter Unikate. dorotheum-Auktionator
Rafael Schwarz führt Jahr für Jahr mit Charme und
Witz durch die Benefizauktion und motiviert so die
kunstinteressierten Gäste zu noch mehr Spenden.
Das Originalfoto des vorjährigen Life Ball-Plakats von
David LaChapelle erzielte mit 180.000 Euro ein absolutes
Rekordergebnis. Der Erlös der aids Solidarity Gala
fließt in den Reinerlös des Life Ball.
Going once, going twice, sold … Just a few
hours before the Life Ball opening ceremony,
unaids and aids life are inviting to the fifth
aids Solidarity Gala at Vienna’s Hofburg Palace. The
exclusive gala banquet traditionally takes place under
the patronage of the Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer
and receives support from the very highest levels of
politics.
Each year, renowned representatives from aids life’s
most important partner organisations in addition to
good will ambassadors and opinion leaders from the
worlds of politics, finance, art and culture gather for
the Red Ribbon campaign. The aids Solidarity Gala
offers guests a chance to exchange ideas at an international
level and to discuss the progress achieved
and ongoing challenges faced in the battle against hiv
and aids within this inspiring and charitable setting.
The programme begins with a champagne reception
followed by an exclusive gala dinner with live entertainment
and quality musical performances. The highlight
of the evening is an auction with some unique
objects. dorotheum auctioneer Rafael Schwarz guides
the guests through the charity auction with charm and
good humour each year, motivating them to donate even
more to the cause.
An original photo of last year’s Life Ball poster by David
LaChapelle generated a record sum of 180,000 euros.
The proceeds from the aids Solidarity Gala are donated
to the net proceeds of the Life Ball.
