403 In the light of these data it appears desirable to give consideration to the derivation of a classification of fresh water growths I in terms of their iodine content in order that effects similar to those experienced herein can be avoided in the future. Further, it may be possible to harness these effects by controlled feeding and thereby derive more beneficial results trom these effects. It is the sincere hope of the author that this paper will result in stimulating minds more familiar With this problem to ascertain the possible far-reaching significance of these findings.
