Bevington I Diphenatrile (diphenylaceto~itrile), dipropalin (N,N-di(n-propyl) 2,6-dinitro-£-toluidine) an4 trifluralin (2,6-dinitro-N,N-di-~propyl-a,a,a-trifluoro-E-toluidine) have been extensively tested as pre-emergent herbicides for turf at the Greenfield Laboratories of Eli Lilly and Company. Sixty turf experiments, consisting of over 3,500 plots, were conducted.
