If the informent receives Femily Income Supplement, it is possible that he/she could<br />
be earning a reasonably high salary, since the award is usually made for 52 weeks <strong>and</strong><br />
the payment does not change even though the family’s circumstancesmight during the<br />

reduced if other earnings benefit the informant while he is under 70, or she is under<br />
65.<br />

If the husb<strong>and</strong> is shown as receiving National Insurance Retirement Pension with no<br />
allowance for wife <strong>and</strong> she is shown as not receiving National Insurance Retirement<br />
Pension, in the absence of any points o=larification or explanation, code the wife<br />
as receiving National Insurance Rstiranent pension - the wife’s allowance only.<br />
