C-nity Programme Schems (CPS) (most of whom are htWeen 1S and 24 and
had hen unemployed for over 6 months, or over 24 and unemployed for
over a year). CPS supersedes the previ.am Ccmununity Enterprise
Programms (CEP) and 8pecial Temper.a~ Employment Prograrfm.e(STEP) .
People working on the Comnnmity Industry (CI) Schme.
People working through the Young Workers Scheme.
An employer can apply to the Dept of Employment for a subsidy - up to
S15 a week as long as he pays the 16-18 yrs old L50 or less per week.
Self employed persons receiving Enterprise Allowance - currently &40 per
week for a year.

3. People receiving redundancy payments who have no job to return to.
4. Wives helping in husband’s ksiness, but unpaid, provided they work
less than 15 hours.
