Such statements are tantamount to saying that “disease is caused by germs,” somethingof such obviousness as to preclude the need of mentioning. Those who wish to enjoy all the emolumentsthat are associated with the vocation of being doctors of philosophy and who resort to such kindergartenlevel explanations of modern day tragedies deserve to be rewarded with trophies for their foolishness,and surely not for any sense of wisdom that they presuppose themselves as possessing.
