Ownership<br />

Attracti<strong>on</strong>s can be operated under three different types of ownership, namely:<br />

• Public<br />

• Private<br />

• Voluntary.<br />

In general, these three ownerships structures tend to own different types of attracti<strong>on</strong>s<br />

with different motivati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>and</strong> objectives other than making profits – see Table 5.<br />

These differences affect the manner in which the attracti<strong>on</strong>s are managed <strong>and</strong> their<br />

daily operati<strong>on</strong>s. In particular, they affect decisi<strong>on</strong>s relating to an attracti<strong>on</strong>’s planning<br />

<strong>and</strong> design, entrance fees <strong>and</strong> promoti<strong>on</strong>.<br />
