Integrated approach tothe fine structure and function of various cellularprocesses. Three hours lecture and one hour laboratory.This is the first of the two-course sequence and willprovide instruction in genetics of viruses, bacteriaand fungi. This instruction will emphasize acomparative approach of structure, function andexpression of genetic material, genetic code, proteinsynthesis and transposable elements. Methods ofcloning recombinant DNA in these groups will bediscussed.
