The Investment Division’s website was also linked to the websites of investment promotion agencies in the respective ASEAN Member Countries so that online visitors could readily access the investment information of each ASEAN Member Country. Additional investment guidebooks and other related information materials were prepared and published for dissemination at the Centre and its supporting partners’ events and activities. Networking activities were conducted with the Japanese government and private institutions (e.g. METI, JETRO, JICA, chambers of commerce and industries, and business associations) involved in investment promotion and development to strengthen the cooperation with the Centre. The Technical Assistance Program helped the ASEAN Member Countries to understand the latest trends and development of Japanese business and industry requirements. The missions assisted the ASEAN Member Countries in promoting investment opportunities in specific industries to potential Japanese investors participating in the missions, as well as the Japanese business community, and the general public in Japan through articles written by journalists. More than 20 articles were written by the press participants in FY 2010.
