Each of the Gears Component Generator dialog boxes is divided into three main areas. In the Commonarea, you can specify the gear creation method and other information pertaining to the overall gearset. In the Gear1 and Gear2 areas, you can specify data that is specific to the individual gear. Forexample, for a bevel gear set, when you define the Cylindrical Face and Start Plane for each gear, theShaft Angle is calculated and displayed in the Common area.Spur Gear OptionsThe following options are available for creating spur gear sets.24■Unit 6: Gears, Chains, and Sprockets
