Educational policy developers should be providedwith evidence based on current research and good practice in effectivecurriculum development for young learners in order to enhance the learningexperience of children.Equal access to English is a concern arising from this research, particularlyfor children in poorer rural communities. There is noticeable disparity in theaccess different groups of children have to learning English and this disparitydisadvantages many children from an early age, also creating difficult teachingconditions for teachers of English to young learners.Notes1.
