This system is listed as UL Class A (without granulesor gravel) directly over a wood deck. Thermo-Lastic 100 and 200 systems are variations of that system and are usually for recover applicationor over insulation. All systems use Thermo #202 modified asphalt emulsion, which, together with the polyester reinforcement, give excellent, elongation without laps. All colors of the finish coat are available.26. TRI-PL Y INCTP-4, Karifalt ~, 307, 306: Coal-tar pitch roofs: When reroofing over an existing coal-tar pitch roof, the old roof must be isolated from thenew roof. This can be accomplished by mechanically fastening an approved base sheet over a minimum I-in. rigid insulation board. Be sureto install one-way moisture vents.Cold weather application: Modified bitumen may be installed in practically any temperature, although there are several precautions thatshould be observed. Tri-PIy's recommendations for cold weather applications are as follows: (1) Rolls may be installed without any precautionsto approximately 40 degrees F; (2) Below 40 degrees F; (a) rolls should be kept in heated area; (b) rolls should be lifted onto the roof andinstalled quickly without allowing them to become brittle from freezing temperatures; (c) rolls should never be handled when frozen-alwaysthaw membrane before handling; (3) If cracking does occur: (a) stop installing the membrane immediately (please notify manufacturer); (b) therolls should continue to be heated and installed again when warmer weather permits.Cold weather precautions notice: The following guidelines and precautions should be taken for installing an APP modified bitumenmembrane in cold weather: Rolls must be stored in an enclosed warehouse. Warm rolls should be lifted onto the roof and installed quicklywithout allowing membrane to freeze and become brittle. Rolls should never be handled when frozen, or allowed to be dropped. Alwaysthaw membrane before handling. Cold weather application may lead to surface cracking if not installed andlor prepared properly. If thiscracking occurs, stop installation immediately.Tri-Ply membrane protection: Note: Prior to applying any type of surfacing to the Tri-Ply membrane, the membrane must weather aminimum of 30 days. After a minimum of 30 days, apply roof surfacing when weather permits, as per manufacturer's recommendations.27. WA11'RO INCFlagon SF Tripolymer: Flagon SF should only be used in a fully adhered configuration. The adhesives approved for application are hot steepasphalt and WatPro's Substrate Emulsion Adhesive. The insulation boards approved are those typically handled by m~t commercial distributors. -For details consult WatPro's specifications. The system is Class-A rated by UL and Class 1-90 by Factory Mutual.Flagon MF White: Flagon MF White is a mechanically fastened roofing membrane system. In the field of the roof, fasteners are placedon 12-in. centers along the edge of the sheet. The sheets are 5 feet wide. The edge of the adjacent sheet is lapped over the row of fastenersa minimum of 4 inches and sealed with a 2-in. width. At the perimeters, fasteners are placed on 8-in. centers, utilizing sheets 2 1/2-feet wide. The system is Oass-A rated by UL; FM Oass 1-90 rating is applied for.,*- . -- -~ , "--~ .220
