Exhibit ___ (EIOP-19)Page 89 of 684Line Recloser ApplicationThe recloser application strategy is designed to support reliability performance throughthe installation of line reclosers on overhead distribution lines. Since 2006approximately 970 line reclosers have been installed in accordance with the recloserapplication strategy. New recloser locations that produce additional reliability benefit arebecoming difficult to identify and the program is expected to come to a close after FY13.The Company has begun evaluating options to enhance the benefits of these devicesalong with alternative sectionalizing equipment as it continuously modernizes thedistribution system. Over 900 of these new line reclosers have communicationcapabilities that can provide real time information and remote control and are capable ofintegration with future advanced grid applications.Drivers:The primary driver for this program is reliability improvement. Additional line reclosersreduce the number of customers that are impacted during a contingency along a radialdistribution feeder.Customer Benefits:The installation of radial line reclosers has a positive impact on the Company’s SAIFIperformance by reducing the number of customer interruptions.
