Managers and staff, including social work staff,will, through Team Meetings and supervision, understand their rolesand responsibilities in relation to their practice with children and theirfamilies and will make sure practice reflects the UN Convention onthe rights of the Child.The implementation Plan will be monitored and reviewed bysupervisors, Team Leaders and the PSW with case filesdemonstrating an increased awareness on behalf of staff, increasedawareness by children and their parents and an increase in thenumber of children and parents exercising those rights, throughincreased input into and influence in Case Conferences andexercising choice.National Office willproduce guidance byend of June 2013ResponsibilityNational OfficePSW, Team Leadersand the IndependentChair of CaseConferences.An independent Review of the outcomes of this work will be carriedout by the Chair of Case Conferences and through regular file audits.The LHA will engage the Association for Young People in Care (EPIC)in this work.Social Workers and Team Leaders will receive training from the localIntegration Forum on working with children, their families andcommunities from diverse backgrounds.
