The administration of Tatneft company has alreadyset an objective of optimizing the costs of our services.Probably, more serious optimization will be required inthe future. But I think that this measure is temporal. I amlooking into the future with optimism. There was a timewhen the oil prices were below 30 dollars per barrel, butTatneft managed to survive, and the affiliated servicecompanies kept on working as well. And now we are goingto hunker down and continue our work.CTT: But aren't you afraid of a situation when hightechand highly priced technologies may becomeunprofitable?Rubin Akhmetshin: In my opinion, under currentconditions Tatneft will try to apply technologies providingfor a guaranteed return of investment. Probably, we aregoing to harness risky projects and pilot operations, as theopportunities for experimenting should be grasped onlywhen the oil prices are high.
