A bright, clever design in which we see that
even the railroad can be beaten by the latest line
of Unic automobiles. While most other ads of
the period show a car physically racing against
a steam engine and winning, this poster simply
shows that Unic vehicles are given preferential
treatment at crossings, forcing trains to an
absolute standstill.
important annual exhibitions for the automobile
industry. By 1910, it had made the Grand Palais
its permanent home, where it would remain until
Cond B+/Slight tears at folds.
With various models of Clément automobiles and bicycles
peppering the countryside, this poster links the brand with
the level of society that participates in the luxe sport of fox
hunting. This is the larger format version of the poster.
Est: $1,700-$2,000.
and illustrator certainly helped him create such an eyecatching
composition with such economy of color.
