Bubbling Brown Sugar is a musical
revue by Loften Mitchell, utilizing the greatest hits
of the Harlem Renaissance to tell the story of three
middle-aged nightclub performers recounting their
past as entertainers. Starring Vivian Reed, who won
the Tony during its 1976 Broadway debut, the show
Pinder began as popular English circus. It was
musical entertainment, and large street parade in the

it was forced into bankruptcy, only to be purchased
by the actor-director Jean Richard, and thus turned
into the Cirque Pinder-Jean Richard. A zoo was then
added to the array of previous attractions, and it
remains active to this day. This image for Pinder’s
Intelligent Elephants is arguably one of the most
charming ever created for a circus act, showcasing
the animals not only as customers gulping down
champagne, but also as waiters, one producing a bill
for carrots, cabbage, and very expensive bubbly.
Est: $3,000-$3,500.
