this poster would imply when on stage. Here we<br />
see elements of Mucha in the lavish two-sheet<br />
design – a wonderful example of French Art<br />
Nouveau.<br />

assets of the Principality and a reason to retain the rich clientele after the<br />
traditional Winter season and the climax of the Nice carnival. <strong>The</strong> month<br />
of April was therefore chosen for the motorboat competition. <strong>The</strong> fact that<br />
Grün produced two posters tells us that he worked for several years for the<br />
principality. Both posters are equally luminous . . . elegant visions retaining<br />

sailboat looks at the race on an ultramarine sea with grey glints . . . One<br />
notices that the typography, generously drawn by hand, is everything but an<br />
