Services and materials relate mainly <strong>to</strong> <strong>care</strong> <strong>for</strong> nature and <strong>the</strong>environment in and around schools.The approaches in stimulating EE are subject-oriented and schooloriented.In <strong>the</strong> first case, environmental considerations are beingincorporated in existing school subjects. The school-oriented approachaims <strong>to</strong> integrate environmental matters in<strong>to</strong> school policy, so as <strong>to</strong>increase pupil participation and <strong>the</strong> concern of <strong>the</strong> school as a whole <strong>for</strong><strong>the</strong> environment. Evaluation of <strong>the</strong> integration process is continuous.The emphasis is on innovative methods and initiatives, with tailor-madeapproaches fitting <strong>the</strong> specific wishes and possibilities of each school.105
