Acknowledgements<strong>Planning</strong> Education <strong>to</strong> Care <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Earth is based on papers presented at <strong>the</strong><strong>IUCN</strong> - The World Conservation Union - General Assembly workshop“Changing Attitudes and Practices” held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, inJanuary 1994. The workshop was organised by <strong>the</strong> Commission onEducation and Communication with support from <strong>the</strong> United NationsEducational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and <strong>the</strong>Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries:Department Nature, Forests, Landscape and Wildlife.Funds <strong>for</strong> editing and printing this book have been provided principally by<strong>the</strong> Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) - from Danishfunding of <strong>the</strong> <strong>IUCN</strong> environmental <strong>education</strong> programme - and by <strong>the</strong>United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).Good will, collaboration and a ready giving of time and expertise arecharacteristic of <strong>IUCN</strong> commissions.
