The MoPI guidance and codes of practicerelates to information for a policing purpose as described above. In order to manage ourinformation we have identified all systems that contain such information, splitting thembetween Designated and Non Designated systems, with strict and well-defined rules inrelation to the information held within these respective systems. Please see the Review,Retention and Disposal Policy PD54 and its Appendix A, for details of these rules and afull list of the systems.6.3 It applies to all operational and personal information received, created, held, shared,disseminated, disclosed, maintained, reviewed, retained or disposed of by all staffemployed by the force in the course of carrying out their duties. This document covers allformats of information including electronic, digital and hard copy.6.4 This strategy does not redefine organisational structures, nor determine technology-basedsolutions; however, it will inform future technical developments.7. Strategic Initiatives7.1 The following Strategic Initiatives will be adopted by the force in order to deliver theVision statements.7.1.1 Implementation of the HMG <strong>Information</strong> Assurance Maturity Model (IAMM).7.1.2 ACPO Council has agreed that the CESG IAMM Assessment tool should be the strategicand primary mechanism for establishing compliance against the ACPO/ ACPOS CSP andmeasuring IA maturity and improvement across the <strong>Police</strong> Service.7.1.3 IAMM aligns the police service to Government departments.7.1.4 Engagement with IAMM will assist the force in compliance with the MandatoryRequirements of the HMG SPF and IA Standards e.g. IS 6 Protecting Personal Data andManaging Risk.NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED 13
