Also responsible for ensuring service levelagreement targets are achieved.iii) To manage the resolution of disputes arising from recommendations ordecisions made concerning the retention and disposal of police records. Toensure all disclosures have been fully „Risk Assessed‟ in accordance with theDBS Quality Assurance Framework (QAF). To manage the informationextraction, disclosure decisions and text for Chief Officer delegate signature,as well as ensuring a percentage check is made with regard non-disclosuredecisions made by the Senior Disclosure Unit Officer.iv) Actively promotes records management as a corporate function and ensuresalignment to wider management of information throughout the force e.g.structured file management system.v) Represents the force at national and local level in matters relating to RRD andDisclosure issues.vi) To co-ordinate and harmonise the force approach to the management ofpolice information, all disclosure issues, knowledge repositories, and inparticular, to meet MoPI data quality principles and promote good recordsmanagement practice.vii) To maintain regular liaison with business and system owners to ensure thatthe necessary links are in place which support and develop the concept of the“Golden Nominal”.6.10.8 Business Lead/Department Managera) The responsibilities of a Business Lead or Department Manager, with regards toinformation management include:i) Ensuring the Business area or department under their command complieswith all force policies, procedures and processes relevant to informationmanagement;ii) Ensuring the Business area or department under their command complieswith all legislation relevant to information management;NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED 51
