Administrative DepartmentsThe services in this section report directly tothe AWC administration which assigns various reports,research projects, publications, public relations activities,and fund raising campaigns to these departments.Office of Public Relationsand MarketingThe Office of Public Relations and Marketing is responsiblefor college-wide public relations, advertising, pressreleases, and publications.A branch of the Office of Public Relations andMarketing, the <strong>College</strong> Publications’ office, managesthe college-wide publications’ calendar and producesthe AWC catalog, class schedules, and other academic,administrative and marketing-oriented printed materials.These offices are located in T 114 and are open Mondaythrough Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Office of Public Relationsand Marketing(928) 314-9594<strong>College</strong> Publications Office(928) 314-9590Institutional Effectiveness,Research, and GrantsAs its name implies, this department handles AWC’sresearch needs and analyzes data in order to makeinformed curricular and administrative decisions. Thedepartment also submits required reports to the state andfederal government and tracks transfer students and completers.Lastly, this office applies for institutional grantsin support of the <strong>College</strong>’s strategic goals. Phone: (928)344-7620.AWC FoundationThe mission of the AWC Foundation is to raise money tohelp students become successful and the college becomephenomenal. The Foundation is led by a board of 30directors whose commitment and energy have transformedthe organization into a vibrant, effective fundraisingentity. Each Director on the Foundation Board serveson at least one of the following committees: Scholarshipand Grants, Fundraising and Special Events, Growth andDevelopment, Finance and Investment, Planned Givingand Endowment, and Capital Campaign.The AWC Foundation’s major projects include: raisingmoney for college development and scholarships.People donate to the AWC Foundation for many reasons:They want a tax write-off, they want to make a differencein someone else’s life, or they know the value ofhigher education and choose to support it. Donors alsounderstand that the college needs private funds to remainstrong and grow. People donate land, stocks, cash, orname the AWC Foundation as a beneficiary in their willor trust.Many individuals and businesses donate money to theAWC Foundation for scholarships. Over $500,000 is nowinvested in a restricted scholarship account. In recentyears, over $20,000 in scholarship money was distributedto worthy students attending AWC, NAU in Yuma, or Uof A—Yuma.Donations to the AWC Foundation are tax deductible.All gifts are appreciated and no gift is too small.
