NTXEAT and NTXGENThis pair of programs provides a one-way data transfer and timing test between systems, either intra-host (viathe channel interface), or to/from the corresponding applications on the NETEX adapter. To use, first startthe NTXEAT program on the receiving system:@START N2X.EAT on a Unisys host, or ST EAT on the NETEX adapter.Next, execute the NTXGEN program on the sending system. To execute the NTXGEN program, enter thefollowing command:@XQTN2X.NTXGENThe system will prompt you for a string of parameters in fixed format, formatted like:bbbbb sssss 111 mmm rrrrr hhhhhhhhwhere:bbbbb specifies the number of blocks.ssssss specifies the size of each block (in words.)lllspecifies the number of loops.mmm specifies the mode, in decimal (that is, 257 = octet mode = 0101 hexadecimal.)rrrrr specifies the rate. (This parameter currently is ignored by H307.)hhhhhhhh specifies the hostname where NTXEAT is offered.After each completed loop, both programs will print elapsed time and bit rate.If the ‘F’ option is specified on the @XQT of NTXGEN and/or NTXEAT, the program will run real-time.NTXOFFRSThis program does a number of offers (50) with one second timeouts to cycle through the available subchannelsavailable to H307IP. To execute this command, enter:@XQTNTXDATAN2X.NTXOFFRSThe program is similar to both NTXEAT and NTXGEN. It connects to itself and writes blocks with a knownpattern and verifies the returned data. It is meant to verify the channel interface and accessibility of the offloadedNETEX in the adapter.
