PrefaceThis manual describes the H307IP NETwork EXecutive (NETEX) Software for the Unisys 2200 Series operatingsystem. This manual corresponds to the version of NETEX referred to in the Revision Record.This manual is divided into the following sections:“Introduction” introduces NETEX and is intended for all readers. “Intertask Communication”, “NETEX RequestBlock”, “H307 Assembler Interface”, and “FORTRAN High Level Interface”, describe how to programusing NETEX and is intended for the application programmer. “Installation”, “User Exits”, and “ConfigurationManagement” describe NETEX installation and is intended for the systems programmer or whoever isinstalling NETEX, and the appendices include a list and description of the error codes and messages issued byNETEX.In this manual, the term “adapter” refers to the channel-attached interface between the Unisys host and theNETEX network.Readers are expected to be familiar with general concepts related to HYPERchannel or DX/E hardware.Readers are not expected to be familiar with NETEX before using this manual.
