TRUNK StatementThe TRUNK statement identifies a “run” of coaxial cable used in a local HYPERchannel network. One trunkstatement must be present for each run. This statement is not specified in describing HYPERchannel-10 networks.Hardware connected to the trunk is identified in subsequent HOST and LINK statements. AllTRUNK statements in a HYPERchannel local network must immediately follow the LOCALNET statementand precede all HOST and LINK statements that define the usage of the trunks. The range of a trunk is a singlelocal network. A TRUNK defined in one LOCALNET may NOT be referenced in another.A trunk begins with a hardware terminator at some network adapter, proceeds through a series of adapters, and ends with another terminator on the last adapter. Each of these trunks is given a label so that NETEXsoftware can determine the trunk paths used to communicate with any other adapter on the network. Note thatthe label is required. The TRUNK statement has the following format.Name Statement ParameterslabelTRUNKThe following control words are used in the TRUNK statement.labelThis required label specifies the name of the trunk.
