ST CUTHBERT’S CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOLADMISSIONS POLICYThe Governing Body <strong>of</strong> St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School, Newcastle is <strong>the</strong> Admissions Authority forthis school. The Governing Body intends <strong>to</strong> admit up <strong>to</strong> 190 pupils <strong>to</strong> Year 7 in September 2009. Thisnumber will apply <strong>to</strong> Years 7 <strong>to</strong> 11.Separate arrangements are made for admission <strong>to</strong> Year 12 (sixth form) and are available from <strong>the</strong>school.St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School serves <strong>the</strong> parishes <strong>of</strong>: English Martyrs, Stamfordham Road; StMary’s Ca<strong>the</strong>dral; St Robert’s, Fenham; St Bede’s, Den<strong>to</strong>n Burn; St Charles’, Gosforth; St Cuthbert’s,Ken<strong>to</strong>n; St Cuthbert’s, Throckley; St George’s, Bells Close; St John Vianney, West Den<strong>to</strong>n; St Joseph’s,Benwell; St Mark’s, Westerhope and St Michael’s, Elswick. Catholic Children who are Looked-after Children (Children in <strong>the</strong> care <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Local Authority)2. Catholic Children whose home address is within <strong>the</strong> parish boundaries <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partnerparishes and who attend a Catholic Primary Partner School.3. Catholic Children whose home address is within <strong>the</strong> parish boundaries <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partnerparishes and who do not attend a Catholic Primary School.6. Catholic Children who have a bro<strong>the</strong>r or sister attending <strong>the</strong> school at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> admission.7. Catholic Children whose home address is outside <strong>the</strong> parish boundaries <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partnerparishes and who attend a Catholic Primary School.8. Catholic Children whose home address is outside <strong>the</strong> Parish boundaries <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partnerparishes.9.
