If you are refused a place at a school because <strong>the</strong>re were more applicants than availableplaces, your child’s name will be kept on a waiting list. If a place becomes available, it will be<strong>of</strong>fered <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> applicant on <strong>the</strong> waiting list who ranks highest in accordance with <strong>the</strong> publishedadmissions criteria.Important informationApplications for admission after <strong>the</strong> date <strong>of</strong> allocation and after <strong>the</strong> acceptance period will alsobe placed on <strong>the</strong> waiting list in <strong>the</strong> position <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir ranking according <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> published criteria.No priority is given on <strong>the</strong> waiting list in relation <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> date <strong>the</strong> application form is received.This means that a child whose name is on <strong>the</strong> waiting list can be moved down if ano<strong>the</strong>r lateapplication is received that has higher priority by reference <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> admission criteria.We will keep waiting lists for Community schools until <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial start <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Autumn Term inSeptember 2009.
