TRANSFER TO THE NEXT STAGE OF EDUCATIONHow will I know if <strong>the</strong> school(s) I would like my child <strong>to</strong> attend will have moreapplications than places available?Demand for individual schools can vary from year <strong>to</strong> year. Until <strong>the</strong> preference forms arereceived, we cannot tell which schools will have more applications than places available.Each year <strong>the</strong> majority <strong>of</strong> children are admitted <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir parents’ preferred school, but despiteour firm commitment <strong>to</strong> meet parental preferences, <strong>the</strong>re is a limit <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> childrenwho can be admitted <strong>to</strong> a school.
