6.7.1.3 The working plat<strong>for</strong>ms should be raised <strong>and</strong> lowered in such a mannerthat the deck remains approximately horizontal in the direction at rightangle to the building.6.7.2 Multi-level suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m6.7.2.1 Multi-level suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m should only be used in operationswhich require work to be done simultaneously at several levels, e.g. fixing<strong>of</strong> sheet metals to frames in cladding operations. A proprietary systemshould be erected <strong>and</strong> used in accordance with the manufacturer’sinstructions.6.7.2.2 Wire ropes should not be used as structural members <strong>for</strong> joining theworking plat<strong>for</strong>ms. The structural members used should have adequatestrength <strong>and</strong> should be arranged in such a way so as to prevent anyrelative movement between the working plat<strong>for</strong>ms.6.7.2.3 A ladder should be provided <strong>and</strong> used <strong>for</strong> safe access between the upper<strong>and</strong> the bottom decks. Where the distance between the two decks isgreater than 2 metres, protection hoops on the access ladder shouldstart at 2 metres height measured from the surface <strong>of</strong> the lower workingplat<strong>for</strong>m base, see Fig. 10.45
