In<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>for</strong> <strong>Use</strong>9.1 GeneralThere should be sufficient in<strong>for</strong>mation provided on a suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m<strong>for</strong> the use <strong>of</strong> any personnel in managing, operating, maintaining <strong>and</strong> examining<strong>and</strong> testing the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m. The in<strong>for</strong>mation includes:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)name <strong>and</strong> address <strong>of</strong> the manufacturer;designation <strong>of</strong> series or type;serial number;year <strong>of</strong> construction;diameter <strong>of</strong> wire rope;power supply in<strong>for</strong>mation; <strong>and</strong>rated load <strong>of</strong> the working plat<strong>for</strong>m <strong>and</strong> maximum number <strong>of</strong> persons.9.2 Documentation9.2.1 There should be an operation <strong>and</strong> maintenance manual <strong>of</strong> a suspendedworking plat<strong>for</strong>m made available <strong>for</strong> use <strong>of</strong> any personnel involved in themanaging, operating, erecting <strong>and</strong> dismantling, <strong>and</strong> maintaining <strong>of</strong> thesuspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m. The manual should be in English <strong>and</strong>Chinese <strong>and</strong> should contain the following in<strong>for</strong>mation:(a)(b)(c)clear instructions <strong>for</strong> safe use <strong>and</strong> operation;clear instructions <strong>for</strong> procedure to be followed in case <strong>of</strong> malfunction<strong>of</strong> the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m; <strong>and</strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation relating to the use <strong>of</strong> the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m.9.2.2 The instructions <strong>for</strong> safe use <strong>and</strong> malfunction <strong>of</strong> the suspended workingplat<strong>for</strong>m should include the following:(a)(b)a warning that the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m should only be usedby a person who has received sufficient training to permit him tooperate the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m safely;the suspended working plat<strong>for</strong>m should not be used in adverseweather conditions <strong>and</strong> this instruction should contain advice on thelimiting wind condition appropriate to the operation <strong>of</strong> the suspendedworking plat<strong>for</strong>m;54
