Use a 5/8-18 tap to chase the threads in theupper A-arm. Clear any debris left in thethreads.Use the same procedure to assemble theupper A-arm as the lower. First, install theballjoint boot into the balljoint housing.Next, apply a layer of anti-seize to theballjoint threads.#917701 Page 9
Thread the balljoint in as far as possible byhand.Finish tightening the balljoint with theballjoint wrench until it is seated tight againstthe balljoint housing.
