Indeed some might argue <strong>the</strong> screen is our generation’s NorthGerman Pla<strong>in</strong>, <strong>the</strong> place where future war will be won or lost’. 82But more futuristic outlooks on what conflict on <strong>the</strong> human terra<strong>in</strong> mayeventually come to encompass are also touched upon <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> literature, <strong>in</strong>which <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>troduction <strong>of</strong> as <strong>of</strong> yet non-exist<strong>in</strong>g technologies would br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>etic era to an end: ‘The new century will br<strong>in</strong>g new weapons, andsome <strong>of</strong> those weapons will br<strong>in</strong>g moral dilemmas.
