Response 12 - Partner OrganizationsThe Latino Pastoral Action Center (LPAC) will be the sole partner organization ofFLACS III. LPAC’s CEO, Reverend Rivera is the founder and visionary of theFLACS Schools. LPAC’s mission has always been to serve the community andstrengthen the four pillars of a community in excellence, two of which arefamilies and schools, the other two are congregations and community-basedorganizations. Replication is in direct alignment with LPAC’s mission. Byreplicating the FLACS model and starting FLACS III, LPAC will be able toexpand on its mission of promoting academic excellence for the poor,disenfranchised and otherwise at-risk minority populations.Family Life Academy Charter Schools is closely aligned with the Latino PastoralAction Center (LPAC) which applied for the initial charter to establish FLACS-I.However, more than considering LPAC as partner, LPAC representatives sit on theboard of trustees, as does LPAC’s and FLACS’ founder, Rev. LPAC willsearch and negotiate space/facility for FLACS III either forprivate or public space. In addition LPAC providesservices to families through after-school homeworkhelp/recreational programs, Fatherhood programs, familycounseling, etc.Rev.
