<strong>Deposit</strong> <strong>Draft</strong> LDP1.57. The <strong>Deposit</strong> <strong>Draft</strong> LDP sets out the core strategy and detailed policies andproposals for the use of land in <strong>Rhondda</strong> <strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong> for the period 2006 –2021.1.58. The <strong>Deposit</strong> <strong>Draft</strong> LDP will be placed on deposit for 6 weeks duringFebruary and March 2009. During this time anyone who wishes may makerepresentations to the Council on the contents of the <strong>Plan</strong> may do so.1.59. Following the close of the consultation period the Council will advertisealternative sites proposed for development by representors. Comments onthe alternative sites will be sought during July 2009.Submission and Examination1.60. Once the consultation periods are complete, the Council will consider therepresentations and produce a final Consultation Report. Each of the mainissues raised will be summarised in the report. The <strong>Plan</strong>ning Inspectoratewill then examine the report, all the representations, the deposit LDP, theevidence base and the Sustainability Appraisal Report.1.61. The Examination ensures that the LDP is based on ‘sound’ information andthinking, and that the views of those with concerns about the plan havebeen considered. The Inspector will then decide what issues shouldconsidered at the Examination in Public.Inspector’s Report of Findings1.63. After the Examination in Public the Inspector will review all relevantinformation and consider what changes the Council should make to the<strong>Deposit</strong> <strong>Draft</strong> LDP. The Inspectors Report of Findings outlining changesand the reasons for them will then be issued.1.64. It is currently anticipated that the Inspectors Report will be issued inOctober 2010.Adoption1.65. Within eight weeks of receiving the Inspector’s Report of Findings theCouncil is required to formally adopt the LDP. The <strong>Plan</strong> will come intooperation from the point of adoption. The adopted LDP will formallysupersede the replacement structure plan and four <strong>Local</strong> <strong>Plan</strong>s thatcurrently remain in force.1.66. It is anticipated that the LDP will be formally adopted by the Councilduring December 2010.1.67. In addition to fulfilling each of the stages in the plan making process theCouncil is also required to assess the environmental and sustainabilityaspects of the LDP. This has been achieved by the following:1.62. It is currently anticipated that the Examination in Public will take placeduring March and April 2010.14Preserving Our Heritage, Building Our Future
