SYNCHROPHASORS - INITIATIVE IN INDIA JUNE 20125.5 Validation of steady state SCADA and offline network modelThe synchrophasors data has been used for validation of network model in SCADA or offlinesimulation studies. Case studies in the following section illustrate these applications.5.5.1 Case Study-27: Validation of the SCADA network model in NRA study was carried out to validate the SCADA network model with the help of synchro-phasordata. Figure 84 shows the phase angles obtained from SCADA data and synchrophasor data.Rihand and Vindhyachal at located in close vicinity in south eastern part of Uttarpradesh. Theangle between Rihand and Dadri (SCADA) and Vindhyachal and Dadri (PMU data) wererecorded and compared. SYNCHROPHASORS - INITIATIVE IN INDIA JUNE 20125.5.2 Case Study-28: Validation of offline simulation study with PMU dataA 3 phase fault had occurred in 400kV Bus-2 at Dadri TPS on 13 th March 2012 at 17:37:39hrs.The event was simulated in the PSS/E software and the fault current, bus voltage and shortcircuit MVA at the faulted bus was computed and compared with the data obtained from thesynchrophasors data during the above event.Figure 85: Current flow in 400kV Agra-Gwalior line -1Figure 85 shows the current flow in 400kV Agra-Gwalior line -1.
